This store provides a wide selection of products, from fresh produce and bulk items to electronics, all at the competitive prices Costco is known for. Despite the high volume of shoppers, staff members are friendly, helpful, and efficient. Parking can be challenging during peak hours, but the store layout makes for quick and easy shopping. The food court, with classic Costco favorites like hot dogs and pizza, is a popular stop for locals and tourists alike. The store is well-stocked, though some items may sell out quickly due to demand. Overall, it’s a convenient spot for downtown residents and offers the familiar Costco experience in the heart of Seattle.

Costco is more than just a warehouse—it’s a savior for shopping. Whether you're stocking up on groceries, shopping for electronics, or hunting for household essentials, Costco has practically everything. The variety is impressive. Fresh produce, bakery items, frozen meals, etc. Their private label, Kirkland Signature. Beyond groceries, Costco offers everything from TVs and furniture to jewelry and vacation packages. The pharmacy, dermatology area, optical, and tire center add even more value to a single membership, qnd let’s not forget the food court While the bulk sizes aren’t ideal for every household, the savings per unit can be substantial, especially for large families or anyone who plans ahead. The return policy is generous, customer service is typically solid, and their seasonal deals can’t be beat. The only downsides? It can get crowded, but I'm used to it so I can't hate Final Verdict: Costco isn’t just a store, it’s a lifestyle for anyone who appreciates quality, savings, and convenience all under one (very large) roof.

This isn't just any Costco—it’s Costco #1! As the original location, it holds a special place in the chain’s history, and they actually have a cool plaque/wall near the registers dedicated to the company’s history that is worth checking out. ​Beyond the novelty, it is a fantastic warehouse. The location in SoDo is super convenient if you live or work near downtown. Despite being busy (it’s Seattle, after all), the lines move surprisingly fast and the staff is consistently friendly and efficient. The produce section is always well-stocked, and they have a great selection of Washington wines and local seafood. Parking can get tight on weekends, but the turnover is quick. Definitely my go-to spot for bulk essentials!

Got multiple vaccinations and the pharmacist was lovely. She listened to my concerns and provided meaningful accommodations for me and my wheelchair. The store itself has a good collection of items and is well stocked and clean. Love Costco

I’ve been a Costco member since 1993, and Costco #1 has been my home store since. Back then I distinctly I remember trying to describe Costco to my father in law, and it was a lot like trying to explain to him another thing: why this little online book seller named Amazon was going to change the world. He didn’t get that either. In those decades, while much has changed (including the entire building itself), the essence of Costco has remained the same: extremely competitive prices on consumer goods, many of them now absolute mainstays of our home, managed and sold by a community of employees who seem to actually enjoy working for Costco. There are some things I miss. In the early years at Costco there was a lot more turnover of product that showed up once, and was never seen again. This made going to Costco a bit of a lottery, except the price of the lottery tickets was… just going to the grocery store. You never knew what would be there, but you did know that once they sold out, it be gone forever. I admit that I bought a *lot* of those things. Did I actually need them? No. But for GODS SAKE, what a deal they were! This is how I bought a two-person off road go-kart at Costco, then had them load the shed-sized box (it was fully assembled!) onto the roof rack of our Volvo station wagon with a forklift. We drove that way for 100 miles. (Costco made me sign a liability waiver before they loaded it on.)
